I really like the idea of the suburban football to a sun spinning in space.Perhaps another word rather than "apogee"(?)-such an arcane word-( I had to look it up).

Actually, it was a yellow ball kicked under a roof at night: no Sun involved. You see what the reader can bring to the piece?
