Lorraine, one of the interesting things about these haiga is that they are open to interpretation. When I started piblishing haiku on the web about 10 years ago, I quickly learnt that unintended meanings can be found by the reader. based on their own state of mind and experiences.
This is the start of a sequence that you could read as a kind of story. If you see barbed wire, then that's probably a good omen for understanding where we're going.
