    Thanks L, I was trying to balance hot colours with a kind of summer bleaching and came up with the (sandy) grainy look too.

    You'll never guess that I live in a beachside suburb.

    this reminded me of the Esplanade (the 'nade) on the Fraser Coast - beach wear, footpath cafes.
